Lalanga

Instructions:
# Prepare the syrup at first. Put the sugar and the water into a pot, boil it for a while, then add lemon juice in it, boil it for 5 more minutes.
# Break the eggs into a deep bowl, add sifted flour, warm water, salt and sodium bicarbonate in it. Blend it to smoothen the dough, if you don’t have a blender you can also whisk it.
# Cover the lid of the bowl on, and rest it at warm place for 1 hour at least.
# Put the oil into the skillet, make it red hot over medium heat. Put 5 tbsp liquid dough into a cup and then pour half of it into the oil for one piece of lalanga. Lay the dough over the oil.
# When both of the dough pieces turn to red, place them into the syrup. Rest them in the syrup for about 5 -6 minutes, then place them onto the service plate.
# After cooling them for a while, sprinkle pounded hazelnut or walnut all over to garnish them.

Note: Lalanga is a recipe from Ottoman Cuisine to present.
